Musiconnect-Italy “Napoli World” 2024: A Celebration of Global Music
Mark your calendars for November 28-30, 2024, as Musiconnect-Italy – “Napoli World” returns to the historic heart of Naples for its exciting fourth edition. Under the esteemed direction of Enzo Avitabile, this showcase festival is exclusively dedicated to world music, offering a vibrant platform for both artists and industry professionals to connect and collaborate.
This year, the festival, supported by Italian World Beat and endorsed by the City of Naples, will feature 16 performances in prominent venues, including Teatro Nuovo and Auditorium 900. Local emerging artists are encouraged to apply for a chance to showcase their talents, with applications open from October 31 to November 10. Those selected will gain invaluable exposure and networking opportunities with national and international cultural operators, enhancing their artistic careers.
Musiconnect-Italy 2024 aims to elevate the visibility of Campanian musical talent on a global stage while fostering cultural and entrepreneurial relationships with prestigious institutions worldwide. The festival will host approximately 20 artists, alongside delegates from various international festivals, all collaborating to promote musical export and live performances.
A highlight of this year’s edition includes an inaugural concert by the Slovak band Balkansambel on November 28 at Auditorium Novecento. All festival activities, including panels, workshops, and networking events, will be free until capacity is reached, making it accessible to everyone.
