EP STAGE AND THE BEAUTY OF THE MUSIC!
The first edition of the Ep Stage has ended!
A real music competition live, in 7 episodes, with 8 bands and songwriters perform, selected by the artistic commission of Studio XXXV among the more than 30 who had sent their application for participation.
A kermesse that, while mocking the much abused national talents, has managed to stand out for its originality and freshness, thanks to a very successful mix of talent of the competing artists, friendly atmosphere and competence of the participants (from the jury to the public, without exception).
LA GIURIA
Ep stage has proved to be an important showcase for all the artists in the competition.
Un’opportunità, cioè, per non dover più elemosinare attenzione ma per poter avere finalmente uno spazio adeguato in cui fare ascoltare la propria musica dinanzi ad una folta platea di appassionati che, di volta in volta, hanno affollato la sala concerti dello splendido locale metelliano. Inoltre, per loro è stata anche l’occasione per venire ascoltati ed apprezzati dai professionisti del settore che hanno composto la giuria di questa prima edizione.
A quadriumvirate has headed by the authority figure of Tony D’AlessioII° classified at X-Factor in 2013 and since 2016 lead singer of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, and enhanced by the sagacity of Nagaina Nacchia (lover of alternative music and assiduous concert goer), from the sweetness of Silvia Nasti (active for years in the promotion of events, in the promo tours of various foreign groups and collaborator of Morgan) and from the jurisdiction of Dario Avolio (creator and presenter of radio and TV programs, former musician and artistic director of several clubs in the last 15 years).
THE WINNER
For the record, it was triumphant Fato, a young singer-songwriter with great narrative potential, capable of combining delicate melodies with evocative lyrics with an astonishing sensitivity and maturity for his age. Listen after listen, it was precisely his ability to convey intense emotions to the audience that allowed him to make his way into a contest where there was certainly no shortage of equally interesting musical proposals (this is the case, just to name a few, of bands like Novaffair, The Recoveries e Lev). Fato was therefore awarded the prize foreseen by the event: la recording of a digital EP distributed and edited by XXXV, with the release party to be held at XXV live.
Furthermore, precisely because Ep Stage was immediately a game where “You win but you don't lose”, all participants will be included in a digital compilation distributed and edited by XXXV Studio, in which there will be one of their songs performed live within the contest. This demonstrates that this initiative was not created to reward just one, but to give visibility to all the artists who have talentedly taken part in it.
THE BEAUTY OF THE CONTEST
A round of applause goes to the entire XXXV Studio team and in particular to Nicodemo (songwriter, bassist, producer and record producer, artistic director of Label XXXV, as well as creator and acrobatic presenter of the contest). The merit is that of having eliminated the toxicity of the competition from an event of this kind, instead creating an ideal framework, serious and light-hearted at the same time, which has given credibility not only to the music of the participating artists, but has exalted the beauty of being together listening, talking and discussing something magical capable of transmitting vibrations to the soul.
In an arid era like the one we live in, saturated with sterile conspiracies and controversies (sometimes really out of place, especially in a field like music which, by nature, should instead be free from any conflict), being able not to lose sight of this beauty is always something extraordinary.
Moreover, if we consider the lack of spaces in which to perform and the ever-increasing suffering into which clubs and meeting places with a musical vocation pour, then Ep Stage was really a small miracle. This is exactly why we already miss it and that we can't wait to taste the second edition!
